His expertise in visual effects and special design has continued to strengthen our work, leading to engaging and unforgettable experiences for our audiences.   Brendan Lipton, recognized for his distinctive artistic perspective and commitment, has been a valued member of the Cortina team for more than eight years. His talent for transforming concepts into engaging visual interactives consistently enhances and elevates our projects.   In their new roles as Art Directors, Andrew and Brendan will help set and guide our creative vision, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality, engaging content that resonates with our audiences.   We are excited about the unique skills and ideas they bring to these roles and look forward to the amazing work we will create together.

La Nube, the new children’s museum and science center in El Paso, Texas, is counting down to its grand opening on August 10. La Nube, El Paso’s premier learning and discovery center, is thrilled to announce the long-awaited grand opening to the public will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024! This monumental event marks the culmination of years of dedication and collaboration, bringing to life a visionary project poised to enrich the lives of families and individuals across the El Paso community and beyond. The stunning four-story, cloud-inspired structure at La Nube will serve as Downtown El Paso's creative hub, boasting state-of-the-art facilities and immersive exhibits across 70,000 square feet, while revolutionizing STEAM learning. More than just a museum, La Nube will offer hands-on learning, experimentation, and play for all ages, from toddlers to adults.   Stephanie Otero, Vice President of Operations at the El Paso Community Foundation and Interim Director of La Nube, shared her excitement about the upcoming grand opening. “We are thrilled to announce the opening of La Nube. We are very excited to announce that Omar Madrid has joined the Cortina Productions team as a Digital Project Manager and Interactive Producer! Omar brings over 15 years of project management experience running teams in design, development, and execution within varied technology industries. In his roles, he will manage project schedules and budgets to ensure expectations are met, while assisting our producing and programming departments in the development of engaging interactive media.   “This role feels like a perfect fit for me,” comments Madrid. “It merges my passion for history and museums with my knowledge of innovative technology and experience with a variety of clients.”   Please join us in welcoming Omar to the team!

The Boston Bruins recently marked their 100th anniversary with the grand opening of the Boston Bruins Heritage Hall at TD Garden. In collaboration with CambridgeSeven and the Boston Bruins, Cortina Productions produced fifteen digital exhibits for Heritage Hall. We are very excited to announce that Kasrah Ghobadi has joined the Cortina Productions team as a Software Engineer! From his background in game development, Kas brings a keen eye for detail and an understanding of a variety of programming frameworks and tools. We are very excited to announce that Jenna Hoscan has joined the Cortina Productions team as an Associate Interactive Producer! Jenna brings a background in exhibit media coordination and content creation from various museums as well as studio arts. In her role, she will be working closely with project teams to create immersive and educational digital experiences.   “Creating educational exhibits for the general public is exactly what I want to do,” states Hoscan. “I love the idea that I will be learning about new and different topics on a daily basis while creating fulfilling media that all can experience.”   Please join us in welcoming Jenna to the team!

We are very excited to announce that Aidan Heroux has joined the Cortina Productions team as a Junior Editor! Aidan brings a background in filmmaking and editing. He will be working with our production and post-production departments to help create powerful, high-quality, and engaging films.   “What drew me to Cortina was the variety of projects,” comments Heroux. “I am excited to develop my skills and techniques while learning from each project experience.”   Please join us in welcoming Aidan to the team!

Today marks the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new and improved Blue Planet Theater at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center. Nearly 20 years after the original film and theater were produced, Gwinnett County Government reached out to Cortina Productions and Mad Systems, who both worked on the original project, to update the film and AV hardware. "It was an absolute pleasure working with the Environmental and Heritage Center (EHC) team on a new film for their Blue Planet Theater. Our company produced the original Blue Planet film for the EHC's grand opening in 2006.
