The JK2 Scenic team had an amazing time on Monday at Artisan Acres Farms, picking blueberries, playing, making new animal friends, and meeting millwork industry partners. A big thank you to Josh Wilkinson for the invitation to meet his team at Wilkinson Woodworks. We love supporting our community and this was a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry partners and enjoy the beautiful surroundings (and incredible blueberries!).

This past weekend, JK2 Scenic participated in the 2024 iBuild Invitational job fair and skills competition. This competition was open to high school students and adult apprentices. We had an excellent time connecting with the skillful and motivated students and business professionals within the construction industry!

We had an incredible experience with the students involved in the ABC UCF chapter yesterday evening! JK2 Scenic and JK2 Construction presented together and shared engaging stories about historic creative projects, the growth of their family-owned companies and their genuine passion for the construction industry. We love getting to share our knowledge and experiences with the future of construction!

In honor of Siblings Day, we have to give a nod to the namesake of JK2; Julie, Karon and Kelin, three sisters! As a second-generation, family-owned company, family ties are an important part of our success through the years. Their father, Paul Holmes, started JK2 Construction in 1987, and these three sisters have been there to encourage and support one another. Julie, President of JK2 Scenic, continues to place a great importance on growing women leaders in the construction industry, just like her mother and father did when the business was started.
